One Word Film Project

 One Word Film Project:

For this project my partner and I were assigned a word which was regret and instructed to make a 60-90 second video. In this video we were to convey a story which was only allowed to be filmed inside a school setting.

During the brainstorming part of this project my partner and I set up our story through shots and angles. We also focused on 2 specific editing techniques which were an action cut and eye match cut. Although we only had 15 shots or scenes we planned to elaborate as we filmed our project.

After completing the brainstorming sheet we made a short storyboard with a couple extra scenes. The storyboard was one of the most important and useful parts for this project. It helped us envision our project before filming it and keep us organized.

The editing resource we used was Adobe Express. Although it is not the best editing resource it was perfect for what we needed to do.

I feel like my partner and I followed the directions for this project pretty well. Although we did good on the project I feel like there were some parts that could have been better. For example we should have used more editing techniques rather than just using the minimum of 2. Another thing we could have improved were the shots and angles that we used. I feel like we overused the medium shot and did not use it correctly or to its full potential.
